The national flag of Korea is called Taegukgi.

Taegukgi symbolize the peace, harmony and humanism of all human beings. 

Taegukgi was first devised in 1882 and formally adopted as the national flag in 1883.

The red and blue circle in the center of the flag represints the cosmos and is called Taeguk.

The bars at each corner mean the opposites and balance, and are called Keon, Kon, Kam and Yi.
